Contact Great Basin Heating and Air — Elko, NV
Serving Elko, NV and the surrounding area.
+ How much does AC repair cost in Elko?
The cost depends on what has failed and how accessible the equipment is. A capacitor or contactor replacement is typically far less involved than a compressor or evaporator coil problem. Units that are old, use discontinued refrigerant, or sit in tight spaces in older Elko homes can add labor time. We diagnose first and give you a written quote before doing any work beyond the diagnosis, so you know the number before you approve it.
+ Do you offer emergency AC repair on nights and weekends?
Yes. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and our office is based at 1345 Water St Unit 6, Elko, NV 89801. Summer heat in Elko can become dangerous for infants, older adults, and pets when indoor temperatures climb, so call us right away if your system stops cooling during a hot spell.
+ How long does an AC repair usually take?
Many common repairs are finished in a single visit, once the technician has confirmed the cause and the part is on the truck. Some jobs, such as a special-order part or a repair that requires cleaning or rebuilding a coil, may need a second visit. We will tell you at the diagnosis whether the job is likely to finish the same day or need scheduling.
+ Is it worth repairing an older AC unit or should I replace it?
It depends on the age of the system, the cost of the repair, and how often it has been failing. If the unit is well into its expected service life and the repair is expensive, replacement often makes more financial sense. We will lay out both options honestly, and if the repair is the smarter call, we will say so. We are an owner-operated shop, so we are not trying to sell a new system you do not need.
